What does being a Founding Family mean?

Founding Families are the first people to access the Earthlings Everyday Adventure System when the first production run is ready. You'll receive an email 48 hours before we open to the public, with £10 off any bundle included — no code, no time limit. No newsletter you didn't ask for.

What exactly are the products made from?

The lunch boxes, snack pots, dip pot, and bottle are made from 304 food-grade stainless steel (18/8) — no coatings, no inks, no liners. The logos are laser-etched directly into the metal. The seals are food-grade silicone, removable without tools. The spork is titanium.

Can I put my adventure system in the dishwasher?

Yes. All Earthlings lunchboxes, snack pots, bottles and cutlery including their cases are dishwasher safe.

Stainless steel is durable, non-reactive, and completely food safe — designed to last years, not seasons. It won't stain, absorb odours, or need replacing every couple of years the way plastic containers often do. 304 food-grade stainless steel — the grade used in Earthlings products — is the same material used in professional kitchen equipment. It's independently tested for heavy metal migration, REACH SVHC compliant, and dishwasher safe for daily use. Unlike many plastic containers, it doesn't degrade with heat, won't absorb food smells over time, and doesn't need replacing when it discolours.

Is a stainless steel lunchbox better than plastic?

For everyday school use, stainless steel outperforms plastic on durability, hygiene and longevity. Plastic containers crack, stain, warp in the dishwasher and absorb food odours over time. A well-made stainless steel lunchbox won't do any of those things. The more useful question for most families is total cost over time. A plastic lunchbox replaced twice a year costs more over three years than a stainless steel system bought once. It also produces more waste. Earthlings systems are independently tested for food safety, dishwasher safe, and designed to be used daily for years.

In summary: the stainless steel and titanium components have been tested to European food contact standards (Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004) and screened against the REACH list of Substances of Very High Concern.

The bottle and dip pot have additionally been tested to German LFGB standards. Across the bundle, results show no detectable taste or odour transfer, no BPA, and heavy metal migration well within permitted limits.

Sustainability & Recycling

Each piece in this bundle is made from durable, stain-resistant materials built for long-term use — 304 food-grade stainless steel for the bento, snack pots, dip pot and bottle, and food-grade titanium for the spork. At end of life, stainless steel and titanium are both widely recyclable through metal recycling facilities; check with your
local authority for kerbside collection or your nearest household waste recycling centre.

The bottle's PP sports cap is also recyclable.

FAQ's

Can this bundle be used for a full day out, not just school?

Yes — it's designed for exactly that. The combination of bento, snack pots, dip pot, spork and bottle gives enough flexibility for hikes, beach days, picnics and family outings as well as school days.

What's the dip pot for?

The 50ml Dip Pot is ideal for hummus, yoghurt, dressings or other small extras, and fits neatly into the lower section of the bento or alongside the snack pots.

How do the two snack pots and the bento fit together?

The bento's lower tier is for dry foods and snacks, while the leakproof top tier suits wetter foods like pasta salads or fruit. The two 350ml snack pots add extra capacity for shared snacks, additional portions or separating different food types — pack them inside a bag alongside the bento, or use them on their own for shorter days.

Is the bundle BPA-free?

Yes. The lunchbox, spork, bottle and snack pot are completely BPA-free. The only non-metal components are the food-grade silicone seals used to prevent leaks.

Will food taste metallic?

No. Both 304 stainless steel and food-grade titanium are non-reactive and won't transfer flavours or odours to food or drinks.

Why is stainless steel better than plastic?

Unlike plastic containers, stainless steel will not stain, absorb odours, retain flavours or release microplastics into food. It is also highly durable and fully recyclable at the end of its life.

Is the divider in the lunchbox removable?

Yes. The divider can be inserted, repositioned or removed completely depending on how you want to organise food.

Can children open it themselves?

The buckles on the lunchbox are designed to be secure while remaining easy for children to open and close independently.

The snack pot has a simple twist on lid.

What is 304 Stainless Steel

Stainless steel comes in different grades, each designed for different uses. Some grades are better suited to industrial or construction use, while others are specifically chosen for food contact and everyday durability.

304 stainless steel is one of the highest quality and most widely trusted food-grade stainless steels. It offers an excellent balance of strength, rust resistance, safety, and longevity, making it ideal for lunchware and food containers. It’s highly resistant to corrosion, won’t absorb flavours or odours, and is easy to clean and dishwasher safe.

Unlike lower-grade metals, 304 stainless steel is designed to withstand years of daily use without degrading — making it a durable, reusable alternative to plastic.

Is everything in this bundle dishwasher safe?

Yes. The lunchbox, snack pot, spork and bottle are all dishwasher safe. Silicone seals should be handwashed to maintain their shape.

What age is this bundle suitable for?

This bundle is designed for
primary school age (4–11), though the lunchbox, bottle and spork are simple,
timeless designs that continue to be useful well beyond primary school.

Is the whole bundle leakproof?

Only the top tier of the bento and the snack pots and dip pot have leakproof silicone seals. The bento's lower tier is designed for dry foods and snacks rather than liquids.

Does this bundle include a lunch bag?

Not at launch. A lunch bag will be available as an add-on once it joins the range later in 2026.
