Our Story
Becoming parents changed everything for us. The moment we held our children for the first time, the world felt more fragile and more precious. We began to think differently about the future they would grow into, and the choices we were making today that would shape the planet they inherit. Nature had always played a huge part in our own childhoods — days spent in parks, woodland and at the coast — and we wanted the same freedom, curiosity and connection for our little ones. A life lived outdoors, not on screens.
At the same time, we became increasingly aware of how difficult it was to find products that genuinely put environmental responsibility first. Many brands talk a good game, yet still rely on virgin materials, short product lifecycles and practices that quietly add to the world's waste. Even among higher-priced brands, greenwashing has become common, leaving parents believing they are making responsible choices when the reality is far less positive. We felt uneasy supporting a system that contributes to resource depletion, climate change and throwaway culture.
With our backgrounds in product development — and a passion for design that enables independence through Montessori principles — we knew there had to be a better way. We wanted to create products that respect the planet children are growing up in, while helping them explore it with confidence. Items that last, can be repaired, re-used and eventually returned to the material cycle. Products designed thoughtfully, not trendily; responsibly, not wastefully.
Earthlings is our response. A small family business built with a big purpose: to do good for people and planet. We are committed to regenerative design and guided by circular economy principles, shaping products that stay in use for as long as possible and never become part of the problem. Our hope is that as our children grow, they feel deeply connected to the natural world — and understand that their choices matter.
We are here for families who want to raise curious, responsible children, and who believe that every small decision can help shape a better tomorrow. Together, we can build a future where adventure looks after the places it takes you, and where the world our children inherit is healthier, richer and more resilient than the one we borrowed.
